Connells Group announces two senior appointments
Leading estate agency and property services provider Connells Group announces two significant appointments to support its next phase of growth. Adding to the experience of its senior team, Jon Notley has been appointed Group Integration Director and Gary Barker joins as Group Chief Technology Officer.
Jon will be spearheading the Group’s integration plans, setting the framework as it looks to combine Countrywide into the business. Jon joins from his role as CEO of Zero Deposit which he co-founded in 2017 and brings a wealth of experience in the property industry. He joined Findaproperty as sales director in 2005 shortly after its acquisition by Daily Mail Group, which was merged with PrimeLocation in 2008 to form the Digital Property Group (DPG), before moving to Zoopla in 2011 where he played a key role in the merger of Zoopla and DPG and Zoopla’s subsequent IPO in 2014.
Gary will be driving the Group’s innovation in technology as it continues to invest in this space, transforming the way IT supports and enables the business to work smarter and supporting long term plans to further evolve and expand in this area. With a strong focus on innovation and quality, Gary previously led Reapit, in his role as CEO, to be one of the leading estate agency CRM and property management platforms, supporting over 4,500 estate agency office and regularly recognised as the best supplier in the industry by its customers. He also spent over 10 years at Countrywide, finishing in his role as Estate Agency IT Director.
The appointments coincide with Connells Group’s recent announcement that, as well as reaching an agreement with the board of Countrywide plc to acquire the business, Countrywide shareholders have voted in support of the acquisition, with completion expected by the end of Q1 2021. They will support the Group in meeting its changing needs as it sets to expand.
